Sunflower Tutorial

This tutorial was written on September 2nd by Donna Mae AKA Sapphire Love. The concept of the tag is mine and mine alone. Any resemblance to any other tag/tut is pure coincidence. This was written for those with working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.


Supplies needed:
Splash of Sunflowers by Charly @ Country Hallow Creations
Template 1 by Envied & Admired Scraps


Open CHS_Splashof sunflowersPaper3(2), edit > define pattern > okay.
Make sure all layers are invisible except for "Circle", right click layer > blending options > pattern overlay > the pattern you just defined > okay.
Press shift + control + N, and a new layer should pop up, press shift + control + e and those layers should merge.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for "Square" right click > blending options > color overlay > color #798243 > okay.
Press shift + control + n and a new layer should pop up, press shift + control + e and the layers should merge.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for "Strip 2", right click > blending options > color overlay > color #656e77 > okay. Press shift + Control + N and a new layer should pop up, press shift + control + e and those layers should merge.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for "Strip 1", repeat everything you just did, including the color.

Open CHC_Splashof sunflowersPaper6(2), edit > define pattern > okay.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for photomat1, right click > blending options > pattern overlay > the pattern you just defined.
Press shift + control + n and a new layer should pop up, press shift + control + e and those layers should merge.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for photomat2, and repeat everything you just did.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for frame1, right click > blending options > color overlay > color #ffffff > okay.
Press shift + control + n, and a new layer should pop up, press shift + control + e and those layers should merge.
Right click layer again, bevel & emboss, keep it at its default settings, but change shadow mode & highlight mode to color #aeaeae.

Now paste your template into your new document

Open CHC_Splashofsunflowers-Sunflowers9, re-size by 40%, paste into your document, add drop shadow, opacity 20% > distance 3 > size 3. Right click, duplicate layer, flip and move over.

Open CHC_Splashofsunflowers-Inchy1, re-size by 15%, paste into your document, add drop shadow > opacity 20% > distance 3 > size 3.

Open CHC_Splashofsunflowers-Bee2, re-size by 60%, paste into your document behind your frame, erase whatever wings are sticking out.

OPen CHC_Splashofsunflowers-Sunflowers1, re-size by 25%, paste into your document.

Add your name, tag it, and you're done! Hope you enjoyed my tutorial! :D
