Halloween Tutorial


This tutorial was written on September 7th by Donna Mae AKA Sapphire Love. The concept of the tag is mine and mine alone. Any resemblance to any other tag/tut is pure coincidence. This was written for those with working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.



Supplies Needed:
Happy Halloween by Tiny D's Scrappin Designs

Template #5 by Designs by Ali


Open up your template, re-size it to 500 x (Whatever it sets it to) pixels.

Remove your copyright layer.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for "Layer 1".

Open TD_HH_pp4. Go to Edit > Define Pattern > Okay.

Right click your layer > Blending Options > Pattern Overlay > The Pattern you just defined > Okay.

Press Shift + Control + N and a new layer should pop up. Press Shift + Control + E and those layers should merge.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for "Layer 2".

Open TD_HH_pp21, go to Edit > Define Pattern > Okay.

Right click your layer > Blending Options > Pattern Overlay > The pattern you just defined > Okay.

Press Shift + COntrol + N, and a new layer should pop up. Press Shift + Control + E and those layers should merge.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for "Layer 3"

Open TD_HH_pp, go to Edit > Define Pattern > Okay.

Right click your layer > Blending Options > Pattern Overlay > The pattern you just defined > Okay.

Press Shift + Control + N and a new layer should pop up. Press Shift + Control + E and those layers should merge.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for "Layer 4", and repeat everything you just did for the previous layer.

Go back to "Layer 3", Add your drop shadow > opacity 20% > distance 3 > size 1.

And repeat with "Layer 4"

Right click "Layer 5", add your drop shadow > Opacity 20% > distnace 3 > size 1.

Right click "Layer 6",Add your drop shadow > opacity 20% > distance 3 > size 1.

OPen TD_HH_mummy, re-sizey by 30%, paste into your document, add your drop shadow > opacity 30% > distance 3 > size 3.

Open up SS_Lisa - Halloween - Pumpkin 1. Re-size by 25%, Paste into your document, add your drop shadow > opacity 20% > distance 3 > size 3.

Open TD_HH_bat1, re-size by 20%, then re-size again by 40%, paste into your document, add your drop shadow > opacity 20% > distance 3 > size 3.

Right click the bat layer, click duplicate layer, press control + t, and a box should form around it, press your up arrow ONCE.

Repeat again.

Repeat ONCE more.

Now animate it. Change your "Time Delay" to 0.1 seconds. First frame, first layer, Second frame, second layer, and do that until you get to the last layer/frame. Then go back down in your frames, (EXAMPLE: Frame 5; "Layer 9 Copy 1".
And your bat should be animated!

Add your text, tag it and you're done. Hope you enjoyed my tutorial!

Broom Ride Tutorial

This tutorial was written on August 24th 2009 by Donna Mae AKA Sapphire Love. The concept of the tag is mine and mine alone. Any resemblance to any other tag/tut is pure coincidence. This was written for those with working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.


Supplies:
Template by Designs by Ali
Spooky Hallow(Tagger) by Gemini Creationz

Open your new document, 510 x 532.

Open up your template.
Make sure all layers are invisible except for the large circle.

Open GCZ_SH_paper13, go to edit > define pattern > okay.

Go back to your template, right click the large circle layer, blending options > pattern overlay > the pattern you just defined > Okay.
Press shift + control + n and a new layer should pop up, press shift + control + e and those layers should merge.

Make sure all layers are invisible except for your several dots, right click the layer > blending options > color overlay > color #f47118, click okay. Press shift + control + n and a new layer should pop up, press shift + control + e and those layers should merge. Go up to filter > noise > set the noise amount to 10.

Open GCZ_SH_paper03, go to edit > define pattern > okay.
Make sure all layers are invisible except for your top left square, right click the layer > pattern overlay > the pattern you just defined > okay.
Press shift + control + n and a new layer should pop up, press shift + control + e and those layers should merge.
Now repeat with the other square.

Make sure all layers are insivible except for your square frames, right click layer > blending options > Bevel & Emboss, leave it as your normal settings, press okay. Press shift + control + n and a new layer should pop up, press shift + control + e and those layers should merge.

Right click your text layer, go up to your Eye Candy Impact: Gradient Glow, set your color to #f47118 and the "Glow Radius" to 0.07.

Go to your Witch layer, Eye Candy Impact: Gradient Glow, set your color to #fffbc0 and set your "Glow Radius" to 0.07.

Now paste your template into your new document, time to get busy putting your tag together now that we've covered the basics. :D

open GCS_SH_Cat, re-size by 40%, paste into your document behind your frame.

Open GCZ_SH_Jack, re-size by 30%, paste into yourdocument, there will be some sticking out, but just erase that.

Actually, You know what, just delete that floating which layer. We're gonna use one from the kit.

Open GCZ_SH_Broomwitch, re-size by 40, add your drop shadow, opacity 30% > distance 3 > size 3.

Right click the layer, hit "duplciate layer", another layer should pop up, press control + t, hit the up arrow ONCE.

Right click the new layer, duplicate layer, press control + t, hit the up arrow ONCE.

Now repeat ONCE more.

Time for the animation - Animate it like you normally would, one layer, for one frame, once you get to the last layer, hit duplicate frame, and go back down the layers til you get back to the very first one, set your time delay to 0.01, and your witch should be floating!

Add your name, tag it, and voila, you are done.

Corrupted Beauty Tutorial


Supplies Needed:
Ghosts of Halloween Past(Tagger Size) - By Gemini Creationz, which you can purchase HERE
Graveyard Background
Tube by No Flutter. She's a FTU artist, just give her the proper copyright credit!


Open your new document, 500 x 500.

Open GCZ_frame02, re-size by 70%, paste into your new document. Add your drop shadow, opacity 30% > distance 3 > size 3.

Open your tube, re-size her by 60%, paste into your document, erase the bottom part of her so it looks like she's tucked behind the frame.
Add your drop shadow, opacity 30% > distance 3 > size 3.


Open the paper supplied, use your elliptical marquee tool, select a section of it, paste it into your document, behind your frame.

Open GCZ_ghost01, re-size him by 30%, paste him into your document, right click the layer, duplicate, press control + t, and a square should pop up around him, press your up arrow once. Then hit enter, right click again, duplicate, press control + t, hit your up arrow once more.

Animate it, until you get to the last frame, (remember to set the time delay to 0.1 seconds), then hit copy frame, and go do it reverse, your ghost should be going up and down. :)

Open GCZ_ghost02, re-size her by 30%, paste her into your document. Right click her layer, duplicate, press control + t, hit your down arrow once, press enter. Duplicate the layer again, press control + t, and hit the down arrow again, now do the same animation you just did.

Open GCZ_glittersplat, re-size by 60%, paste into your document, behind your frame an everything(put it in your bottom right corner), right click, duplicate layer. Flip it horizontal, and then vertical, and move it to your top left corner, duplicate the layer again, flip it horizontal.Go back to the orginal layer, right click, duplicate, flip horizontal.


Use your Ellipise tool, shape around your frame, take your text tool, and put it on the line around it, until you have a squiggly mark across the "I" icon, then type "Corrupted Beauty" around it in whatever font/color you want. I'm using a font called "Garamond Premier Pro" and the color is #000000. If you have to, move your text layer behind Zombie Tink :)
Go up to your Gradient Glow, set the color to #bfc12a.

Add your name, tag it, & you're done. :D Hope you enjoyed my tutorial!!

Trick or Treat Tutorial



Supplies:
Spooky Treats by I Don't Give A Scrap, Which you can purchase HERE
Mask
Alien Skin Xenofex: Constellation
Word Art
The tubes which are Free to Use, by Popeye Wong, you can find them HERE
Open up your new document, 500 x 500.

Open up STBatFrame~IDGAS, re-size by 65%, paste into your new document. Add drop shadow, opacity 30% > distance 3 > size 3.

Open up your tube, re-size by 80%, paste into your new document, flip, add drop shadow, opacity 30% > distance 3 > size 3.

Open STPaper22, use your Elliptical Marquee Tool, select an area of paper, paste it into your new document, erase what is showing behind the bats.

Open STHauntedHouse, re-size by 50%, and then re-size by 70% again. Paste into your document, behind the frame. You might have some of it sticking out of the bottom, but you can just erase that.

Open up your SECOND tube, re-size by 45%, paste into your document, move her down, she might be poking her feet/cape out, but that's okay, just erase it. Add your drop shadow Opacity 30% > distance 3 > size 3.

open STCandy14~IDGAS, re-size by 20%, paste into your document & flip.

Open STCandy12~IDGAS, re-size by 15%, paste into your document.

Open STCandy13~IDGAS, re-size by 15%, paste into your document & flip.

Open STCandy11~IDGAS, re-size by 10%, paste into your document.

Open up the word art supplied, paste into your document(no need for re-sizing)

Go back to your frame layer, take your Magic Wand tool, and click inside the frame, right click, copy.

You will have a new frame, remove the effects from it. Duplicate that layer until you have 4 layers.

Go up to your Alien Skin Xenofex 2: Constellation, have your settings to Star Inches 0.04 > Size Variation 2 > Edge Star Density 2 > Overall Star Density 1 > Overdrive 100 > Twinkle Amount 100.
Now hit "Random speed" and go to each layer and hit random speed.

Go to your Image Ready(If you have a version of adobe that is lower than CS3) and animate. But if you have CS3 Go up to Window > Animation, and animate. Put the time delay to .01.

Open up the mask I have supplied, and paste it into your document, behind everything, you might have to stretch it a little bit to make it show, but thats okay :D

Add your name, copyright information & you're done!! I hope you enjoyed my tutorial :D
