All American Girl Tutorial


This tutorial was written on September 7th, 2009 by Donna Mae AKA Sapphire Love. The concept of the tag is mine and mine alone. Any resemblance to any other tag/tut is pure coincidence. This was written for those with working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.



Supplies:

Tube by Carlos Cartagena, you MUST purchase a license at MPT to use his work!

Open your template, go to Edit > Duplicate...> Duplicate it and rename it "Tag", press okay. Close out the original.

Now re-size it to 500 x 328 pixels.

Open WP_AAA_PP14, Edit > Define Pattern > OK.
Close out the paper.

Righ click "Raster 3" > Blending Options > Pattern Overlay > The pattern you just defined. Make all other layers invisible except for "Raster 3", Press Shift + Control + N and a new layer should pop up. Press Shift + Control + E and those layers should merge.

Open WP_AAA_PP27, GO to Edit > Define Pattern > OK.
Close out the paper.

Right click "Raster 2" > Blending Options > The pattern you just defined > ok. Make sure all layers are invisible except for "Raster 2", Press Shift + Control + N and a new layer should pop up, Press Shift + Control + E and those layers should merge.
Add your drop shadow > Opacity 30% > Distance 3 > Size 1.

Set your foreground color to #ffffff and your background color to #a03638.

Right click "Raster 4" > Blending Options > Gradient Overlay > Foreground to Background > OK.
Make sure all other layers are invisible except for "Raster 4", Press Shift + Control + N and a new layer should pop up, Press Shift + Control + E and those layers should merge.
Right click your layer again > Blending Options > Bevel & Emboss, Keep it at it's default settings but change the shadow mode color to #aeaeae.
Add your drop shadow > opacity 20% > distance 3 > size 1.

Change your foreground color to #fffff and your background color to #3c65b9.

Right click "Raster 6" > Blending Options > Gradient Overlay > Foreground/Background Color, change your angle to -90, click OK.
Make sure all layers are invisible except for "Raster 6", Press Shift + Control + N and a new layer should pop up, Press Shift + Control + E and those layers should merge.
Right click your layer, Bevel & Emboss, default settings except for the shadow mode, set the color to #aeaeae, click OK.
Add your drop shadow > Opacity 20% > distance 3 > size 1.
Press Control + T and a square should form around it, hit your down arrow exactly SIX TIMES. then hit enter.

Open WP_AAA_PP15, Edit > Define Pattern > OK.
Close out the paper.

Right click "Raster 1" > Blending Options > Pattern Overlay > The pattern you just defined.
Make sure all other layers are invisible except for "Raster 1", Press Shift + Control + N and a new layer should pop up, Press Shift + Control + E and those layers should merge.
Press Control + T and hit your down arrow exactly SIX TIMES, then hit enter.

Right click "Raster 7" > Blending Options > Color Overlay > Color WHITE.
Make sure all other layers are invisible and press Shift + Control + N and a new layer should pop up, Press Shift + Control + E and those layers should merge.
Go up to your Eye Candy: Gradient Glow and set the glow radius to 0.03, and the color to your Foreground color, click ok.
Go back to your Gradient glow and set it to your background color and change the glow radius to 0.04.
Add your drop shadow > Opacity 20% > distance 3 > size 1.

Open your tube, re-size by 65%, paste her into the document, add your drop shadow > opacity 30% > distance 3 > size 1.

Go back to your tube, undo the re-size, then re-size her again by 70%, select an area of her, paste her into your document, set her opacity to 40%, go up to your eye candy, keep the settings the same, but change the color to WHITE.
Right click your girl, duplicate layer, flip, and paste into the other frame.

Add your name, copyright information & tag it, then you're done. :D
