Velvet Rose Tutorial

This tutorial was written on September 7th by Donna Mae AKA Sapphire Love. The concept of the tag is mine and mine alone. Any resemblance to any other tag/tut is pure coincidence. This was written for those with working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.

Supplies:
Template #4 by Alyssa
Velvet Rose(click to purchase) - By Gina's Gems Scraps
Tube by Keith Garvey, which you MUST purchase a license to use atMPT

Open up your template, Go to "Edit" click "Duplicate..." and rename it "Tag", click okay, close out the orignal template, and re-size your template 500 x 500.

Delete the background, copyright information & the two hearts.

Open GGS_Velvet Rose_Paper 21, Go to Edit > Define Pattern > Okay.

Right click "lg rec bot", Blending Options > Pattern Overlay > The Pattern you just defined.

Right click "lg rec top", Blending Options > Pattern Overlay > The pattern you just defined > ok.

Right click "lg frame bot", Blending Options > Color Overlay > Black, click okay. Then go to Bevel & Emboss, keep it at it's default settings and click ok.
Do the same for "lg frame top"

Open GGS_Velvet Rose_Paper 22, Edit > Define Pattern > OK.

Right click "sm rec bot" Blending Options > Pattern Overlay > The pattern you just defined > OK.

Right click "sm rec top" Blending Options > Pattern Overlay > the pattern you just defined > OK.

Right click sm frame top > Blending Options > Color Overlay > Color BLACK > OK. Go to "Bevel & Emboss", keep at it's default settings, and click ok.

Do the same thing for "sm frame bot".

Open GGS_Velvet Rose_Paper6, Edit > Define Pattern > OK.

Right click "Oval" > Blending Options > Pattern Overlay > The pattern you just defined > OK.

Right click "oval frame" > Blending Options > Color Overlay > BLACK > OK.
Go to Bevel & Emboss, keep it at it's default settings > OK.

Open your tube, re-size her by 90%, paste her into your document, behind your "Oval Frame", delete whatever part of the frame is covering her head, and whatever part of her is sticking out.

Open GGS_Velvet Rose_Glitter Doodle 3, re-size by 50%, paste into your document behind your oval frame and such.
Right click, duplicate layer, & flip.

Open GGS_Velvet Rose_Rose Stem, re-size by 60%, paste into your document, rotate a little, duplicate layer, flip it, rotate it again. Add your drop shadow to both of them opacity 20% > distance 3 > size 3.
And erase whatever is needed so the bottom stems are gone.

Add your name, tag it, and you're done.

Hope you enjoyed my tutorial!
